The Gables COVID Safe Policy
This statement outlines changes we have put into place for the safety and well being of ourselves and our guests. We are aware of the fact that individual people will have different expectations and are very happy to listen to any concerns and will respond to additional requirements you may have.
We are a small family run B&B and whilst many of the measures outlined for larger commercial premises are not relevant for us, we have put in place a series of changes, as your health and safety during your stay is paramount to us.
Firstly, we would expect that anyone who feels unwell or who may have been exposed to a person displaying any COVID-19 related symptoms, to cancel their visit, even at the last minute. We are always more than happy to rearrange under normal circumstances and even more so now.
For those of you who have stayed with us before, you will know that our standards regarding cleanliness is excellent and this is echoed in all of our reviews. We will now be operating a 3 Stage cleaning strategy which means all rooms will be deep cleaned, sanitised and steam cleaned in between visits. Some soft furnishings have been removed in order to minimise risk. Windows will be opened and all rooms fully refreshed prior to arrival.
The kitchen will be operating to the highest standards of health and hygiene, with regular hand washing and sanitising of all surfaces and high touch items.
Hand sanitiser has been placed at the front entrance for use at check-in. On arrival we will provide all relevant information and make a note of individual preferences. Individual guest details will be recorded in order to comply with the Government Track and Trace scheme.
There will be no shared bathroom facilities with the exception of two people booking together and sharing a twin room. Sanitising spray has been placed in all bathrooms and guests will be asked to wipe key surfaces after use. We will not enter bedrooms or bathrooms at any time during your visit
We will be operating at reduced availability for this season. There will never be more than 2 small unrelated groups here at the same time. Where two groups are booked in together, everyone will be informed of this prior to arrival and given a series of options.
We have provided two separate seating areas inside and also outside. Mealtimes, which are always flexible will now be offered in two sittings. All tables have been covered with plastic table cloths and disposable napkins. These areas will be sanitised regularly during the day.
Payment will be online via bank transfer.
Horses will be expected to live out. Where a stable is necessary, it will be for sole use and no extra livery services will be available. Where possible, guests will be asked to keep tack in lorries and vehicles.
With these arrangements in place, you can come and enjoy the delights of the wonderful riding on Halkyn Mountain and the peace and joy of our B&B and can rest assured that you will continue to experience the friendly service and great food that many of you have come to expect!
